The Rev. Canon Dr. Mark Pearson

The Rev. Canon Dr. Mark Pearson is a huge blessing wherever he speaks, and the 2006 Region 8 Annual Conference in Kingston was no exception.

The Rev. Mike Flynn

 

The Rev. Mike Flynn has authored 5 books and is much in demand as keynote speaker and leader of healing events across North America.  Mike is director of Fresh Wind Ministries, located in California.   FreshWind is a Christian ministry that teaches, models, and imparts responsiveness to the Holy Spirit for life and ministry.

The foundation of the ministry rests solidly on Bible-based material.  For over twenty years, Mike and his teams have demonstrated a Holy Spirit-led, Jesus Christ-obeying, and Father God-exalting approach to relating, ministering, training, and living which prospers both individuals and the church.   Contact Rev. Norma Dearing

 

Norma Dearing is the executive director of a non-profit Christian organization, Impact Communications Ministries, which produces the radio program "The Healing Touch." Norma is the featured speaker on this daily program that teaches the biblical message of the healing power of Jesus.  Norma effectively trains individuals and church groups to follow Jesus in healing prayer and evangelism. She is the author of the book, "The Healing Touch: A Guide to Healing Prayer for Yourself and Those You Love," and has published articles in Christian publications. 

Norma served as a prayer minister with her father-in-law, the late Rev. Frank Dearing, a pioneer in the healing ministry.  She later served as director of prayer ministry at Christian Healing Ministries in Jacksonville for 14 years with Francis MacNutt.  During this time, she developed the School of Healing Prayer and Foundations of Healing Prayer teaching series.  She is heard daily on her radio program "The Healing Touch."  For more information on Norma's radio ministry visit http://www.healingtouchministries.com/

 
 
 

Reverend Joseph K. Acton

For almost two decades, Reverend Josh Acton has devoted his life to helping people follow the spiritual path by showing them how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through his work in healing conferences, Rev. Acton ministers to hundreds of people. With an extensive background in teaching and counseling, Rev. Acton has successfully led a number of churches, missions, workshops before being appointed executive director of Desert Call Ministries. Located in San Diego, Desert Call conducts conferences across the country focusing on the healing gifts and renewal found through the Holy Spirit.

Highlights of Rev. Acton’s 18 years in the ministry include being named rector of Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Yuma, Ariz. in August 2007, following the transfer of his ordination. In 2005, he founded the Center for Christian Healing in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas when he was rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. While working in California, he served as spiritual director for the Cursillo movement. In 2002, Rev. Acton also was regional director of the International Order of St. Luke in San Diego where he was responsible for overseeing the ministry in the western states, and leading a series of Spiritual Gifts workshops for the Diocese. During 2000, he also published a religious publication called Spirit Walk, which sold 900 copies and received acclaim from the International Order of St. Luke the Physician and is on their list of suggested reading for all who are receiving training in the healing ministry. In 1999 he founded Belize Mission which provides Vacation Bible School to hundreds of Belizean children each summer.

Prior to his appointment as rector of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in San Diego in 1998, Rev. Acton served as rector to a parish in East Texas while he was completing graduate courses in counseling at Texas A&M in Commerce, Texas. From 1993-1996, he became a mentor/pastor at the Perkins School of Theology and served as a chaplain at the St. Alban’s Collegiate Chapel and Canterbury House, all located on the Southern Methodist University campus in Dallas, Texas.

Following his ordination in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles in 1989, Rev. Acton worked in a number of parishes in Los Angeles before starting a Spanish-speaking congregation in South Central Los Angeles. He received a Master of Divinity Degree from General Theological Seminary in New York in 1989 and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he graduated with high honors in 1986.
